In July of 2019, the California Air Resources Board announced their fine to Anheuser-Busch (known for Bud Light and Budweiser) for the amount of $500,000. This total came at the fault of 19 of their shipping trucks, which violated the state’s air pollution laws. It was also discovered that 86 of Anheuser-Busch’s trucks were non-compliant with in-use performance standards. CARB estimated that in 2020 there could be more than 300,000 fleet trucks that, while registered out of state but reporting mileage in California, may be non-compliant.
